The museum facility has been operating since December 2002. Currently, the museum's collection consists of historical toys, from antiquity to the 1980s, with most of the exhibits from the 19th and 20th centuries. The exhibits include, among others, theaters and their dolls, Christmas cribs, blocks, mechanical toys, tin, textile, wooden and clay, military. The museum's collections have been presented many times outside its headquarters, including in the Museum of the Kłodzko Land in Kłodzko, at the Książ Castle in Wałbrzych and the Pomeranian Dukes Castle in Szczecin. In 2012, as the only museum from Poland, it received an invitation to participate in the World Congress of Toy Museums in Istanbul.
