The church's history dates back to the early 12th century during the reign of Bolesław III. In the second half of the 16th century, the Augustinians built a wooden chapel on the ruins of a pre-existing castle. In the years 1698-1702, the wooden building was replaced by a stone temple. Visitation of the Virgin Mary, which in 1834 completely burned down due to a lightning strike. Rebuilt in 1851-52, the temple still exists today. In recent years, the church has been in a neglected condition. In September 2012, he was handed over to the parish dedicated to Sacred Heart of Jesus in Sulistrowice, currently undergoing renovation works.
