The medieval leaning tower in Ząbkowice Śląskie, one of the tourist attractions of Lower Silesia. Colloquially called "Silesian Pisa". The tallest leaning tower in Poland is 34 m and its deviation from the vertical is 2.14 m. You can get to the top by climbing 139 stairs. It has its festival "Leaning Tower Days and Night" on the second weekend of July, which is a cultural and recreational event that attracts tourists and guests. Polish music concerts, exhibitions, shows and other attractions are organized, as well as visits to the facility. The tower is probably a remnant of a pre-castle castle, which was to be built by the princes of Świdnica and destroyed by the army fighting the Czech king Jerzy of Podebrady. In the fourteenth century, the tower was decided to make the bell tower of the parish church. St. Anne. Its construction was probably completed in 1413. In 1858, the tower was significantly damaged in a fire, especially in the gable, and it was decided to demolish it. After long work, the building was rebuilt. The old finial in the form of a tin helmet was replaced by a swallow-tailed attic. In December 2007, a thorough renovation of the outer walls of the tower was completed. The leaning tower is open to visitors from April 1 to October 31 - daily from 09:00 to 18:00, from November 1 to March 31 - Tuesday to Saturday, from 09:00 to 17:00.
