It is a rock form, consisting of several highly cracked granite outliers, from which the northern pillar, viewed from the east side resembles a human figure carved out of the rock. Located at an altitude of 1423 m a.s.l., it rises to a height of 12 m. It towers over the Upper Karpacz and the surrounding area, is the most characteristic and most visible rock in the Karkonosze Mountains, which can be seen almost from the entire Jeleniogórska Valley. The fancy shape of the rock is the result of a complex and long-lasting erosion process, during which elements less resistant to weather conditions were removed, and remained more resistant. This was possible due to the existence of a blow, i.e. natural cracks running in three directions. Sunflower is one of the most interesting and most visited Karkonosze rocks.
