The peak (1205 m a.s.l.) lying in the shoulder of Żmijowiec, in the Śnieżnik Massif. Czarna Góra is perfectly visible from almost the entire Kłodzko land as a high and steep peak, contrasting with the wide dome of Śnieżnik. The massif of the Black Mountain is built of gneisses belonging to the metamorphism of Lądek and Śnieżnik. Only the north-eastern, lower parts of the slopes are built of mica slates of the Stroń series. Under the peak, on the east side, there is a large boulder. At the top there is a wooden, 14 m lookout tower was built in 2001.
