The highest border peak on the Polish side in the Eastern Sudetes and the Śnieżnik Massif, measuring 1425 m a.s.l. It is the only mountain in the Śnieżnik massif that projects above the upper forest border. The eastern part of the mountain is built of local varieties of gneisses, called Snow and Mountain. The western part is formed by metamorphic mica slates. There are rock debris on the slopes of Śnieżnik, created during the Pleistocene in a periglacial climate. The green tourist trail passes through the Śnieżnik peak from the "Na Śnieżnik" hostel to the Płoszczyna Pass and further to Bielice. Śnieżnik belongs to the Crown of Polish Mountains.
