Address: ul. Zamkowa 8 , 57-330 Szczytna
Castle in Central Sudetes, located in the southern part of the Table Mountains near the peak Szczytnik. The building was interestingly integrated into the rocks on the rock edge over Szczytna, the highest culmination of a small flat tablewood, constituting the southeastern edge of the Table Mountains, and undercut by picturesque rock cliffs with Orly Skałki from the southwest. Near the castle there is a viewpoint, from where there is a beautiful panorama of the Dusznickie Depression. Nearby, we can also see a stone cross road distinguished by original sandstone carvings embedded in natural rocks. The castle presents a neo-Gothic style. It was built according to the model of a medieval fortified castle. It is a four-sided, three-storey building with a rectangular plan with four corner towers. One of the towers is cylindrical, the others are quadrilateral. The castle is surrounded by a dry moat and a defensive wall on which cannons stood in the past. Inside, there is a knight's hall and the chapel of MB Queen of Peace with a unique monument - pipes made of bronze alloy, which act as a bell. Although the castle faithfully reflects a building with medieval architecture, it was built recently, in the 1830s.
