The museum was opened in 1996 in the former "Julia" coal mine, which dates back to 1770. It is dominated by the characteristic towers of the "Julia" and "Sobótka" shafts. Exhibits related to mining operations have been collected in the "markers". There are mining lamps, tools, uniforms, headgear, as well as border posts marking out the reach of mines on the surface. Guides who guide tourists come from miners. It takes about 2 hours to cover the almost kilometer tour. Rows of mining working clothes hung on chains from the ceiling make a huge impression. The museum can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday from 9.00, 11.00 and 13.00.
