The reserve with an area of 1.69 ha created in 1959 in Wilcza Góra in the Kaczawskie Foothills, built of basalt rock and covered with unique vegetation. In addition to geological forms, the nature reserve also has a wildlife refuge. Crevice ferns grow in crevices of weathered basalts, including common fern and rock, masonry and northern footboards. Wilcza Góra, also called the Werewolf, is an excellent viewpoint of the surrounding area. Its area is also called the Land of Extinct Volcanoes, because it has one of the most important well-preserved volcanic nek in Poland.
