Built on the initiative of the Czech King Wenceslaus II in the 13th century as a defensive fortress. In the 16th century it was rebuilt into a magnificent Renaissance residence. A great fire from 1793 destroyed part of the building. The scenery of the castle was used to make such well-known films and series such as "The Witcher" or "Mystery of the Ciphers Fortress" and therefore became one of the most-visited attractions in the region. This residence is a place where you can organize conferences or company integration events, wedding receptions or spend your vacation. When it comes to attractions, knights' fights are organized, early and chamber music performances, cabaret performances and, on request, banquets and games accompanied by a castle band. There is also a stylish restaurant, a wine cellar in the basement and an atmospheric cafe. You can also organize a barbecue on the Knight's Veranda or a bonfire in dry Fosie Zamkowa.
